POWER OF INVOKING THE SACRED EVERYWHERE
Dear Painters Worldwide,
I am always wanting to let go of some character trait or symptom and always wanting to bring some desired trait, project success or person into my life so it is natural for me to create a ritual ceremony in my everyday life as a way to invoke the help of the unseen spirits for success. You can better ensure health, success, abundance, love, and all the good stuff by doing rituals as a way of insuring and invoking success.
Some elements to use in ritual are fire, water, wind, scents, smoke, sounds like drumming, rattles, bells. Activities for rituals are lighting a candle or a fire, making sounds like drumming, songs or chants, body movements, or flags. But the most important thing to know is: it is not so very important exactly what you do or use, it is most important to be clear about your intention. Be very clear about what you want. Be clear about what exactly you are asking spirit to help you let go of, like guilt, self-recrimination, headaches, unhealthy relationship, tobacco addiction, etc. or what you are wanting spirits to help to bring into your life, like self-confidence, self-compassion, perfect health, money for a healthy enhancement or rent. And put your whole heart into the request. And if you have any doubts about the power of successful intentional rituals, pretend you believe until you actually convince yourself. Fake it till you make it.
Some examples: If I am writing a difficult letter, email, or conversation I will light a candle, bring a photo of my spiritual healer in view, and ask spirit for help and guidance before I begin. If I have had an encounter with a difficult or unconscious person and I feel slimed by their energy I will wave some cleaning smoke of sage or sweetgrass all around me and rooms in my house with a request for cleansing and clearing of negative energy. If I want to bring more self-love and self-compassion into my life, I may light a candle and dance to wild music, or do a painting of my free-loving spirit and drum energy into the painting. ..or write or paint something to represent self-love and make a ritual fire, a fire for sending messages to spirit in smoke, and burn the paper with writing or picture while drumming or rattling to give more attention and emphasize significance to the smoke message to spirit. It is fun to make rituals and they really work plus infusing your life with rituals also brings magic and enchantment into your life. There are certain locations in nature that feel very magical to me and encourage me to do a ritual in that spot, like honor the 4 directions and the earth and sky. I will reach my hands in all directions as I ask spirit for support and offer homage and gratitude.
When I was visiting Ojai, California a few weeks ago for a consultation with a professional writer about a story I am writing, one of the special aspects of being there was I was close to the Pacific ocean. Living in the desert of Arizona made being near the ocean and on the beach and the water’s edge very special and magical. I was called to do a ritual of putting water which I sanctified and infused with prayer and poured into the ocean to move around the entire planet in all oceans and evaporate into the atmosphere and come back in full-cycle rain.
I found a small glass bottle and filled it with clear water and added some of my body fluid. I went to the beach and whispered my prayer into the water bottle and held the bottle to my far head and heart with the intention of infusing the fluid with my prayer for success for my world message in my writing and requested the universe send me my soul mate as the best and final love relationship in my life. I was with my spiritual daughter, Bianca who is also a wonderful photographer and filmmaker who documented my sacred seaside water ritual. As you can see in the photos, I was surprised by the surf washing over me which slightly delayed my pouring out the fluid into the ocean.
