#01 Rainbow Ecstasy 1986

CONCEPTION:

My world was opening to Yoga. While receiving deep body work, I took an inhale imagining the air entering my body below my navel and exhaling out of the spot on my forehead between my eyes. I experienced an amazing sensation of a rainbow going through my body. I could not stop laughing from sheer joy. When I was painting a week later I could feel this experience coming through in the painting. I was in awe and ecstasy while the painting unfolded beneath my brush. It was the first time a male figure entered my painting after a series of only female figures. I had not yet learned about Tantric Sexual practice, nor of Kundelini yogic experiences but I knew I had tapped into an essential truth of love and energy.
